Back by popular demand … ‘Maps, maps and more maps!’ (Primary Humanities Subject Leaders’ Network meeting)

Due to demand, I shall be offering a repeat of the second session of this academic year, taking the theme of ‘Maps, maps and more maps!’. We will look at how maps can be used, both inside and outside the classroom, in the teaching and learning of history and geography from EYFS to Year 6Suggestions for local fieldwork and visits will be given, as well as pointers for filing a Frederick Soddy Trust Award application.  The aim is to meet from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm on Friday 11th January 2019 at Gloucester Farmers’ Club, Agriculture House, Greville Close, Sandhurst Road, Gloucester, GL2 9RG.  The cost per head is £35.00, with refreshments provided upon arrival and throughout the afternoon.

Please bring a Wi-Fi enabled laptop/tablet and USB stick with you, along with a copy of your annual whole school curriculum plan and current scheme of work/topic map.  Be prepared to get stuck in too!
